Great Christmas experience. Non stop entertainment from start to finish we've been twice and enjoyed it just as much both times. The first time brought tears to my eyes seeing the children's reaction whdn the train came around the corner blowing out steam and blowing his whistle. FANTASTIC
We took our 2 grandsons ( 6 & 10) when we arrived we saw a marquee and took a seat and then we were entertained by 2 great singers dressed in 1930s clothes. We then went to the platform and when the steam train arrived it started snowing which was great.
On the train we were entertained for the entire journey with songs and sounds to join in with. Not only were the cookies and hot chocolate lovely but the staff were incredible and talented. We all absolutely loved the experience and I would highly recommend it.

It was our first time going this year. And WOW. I didnt think it was possible for an experience to be virtually the same as the movie. But it really was! We had such an amazing time here. Everything was well thought out and planned, from the parking, the naughty and nice scanner and the snow when the Polar Express arrived. The hot hot chocolate and cookie on the polar express was a lovely touch. All of staff involved in the experience were friendly, jolly and helpful. The actors and actresses were AMAZING. I already cant wait to return again next year with my children. A fully immersible experience! Thank you to all involved!
The polar express train ride is a truly magical experience. You are guaranteed to make so many lovely festive memories with your family. We have been a couple of times over the last few years and it gets better each year. The station has such amazing festive Christmassy vibes it feels like you’re in the film which just continue once you’re on board. Our children have the best time on the train singing and having a hot chocolate with a cookie which are both delicious. The staff on board are amazing and put so much into making it the most fun, special experience. You can’t top the polar express train ride for a festive day out. It’s in my opinion worth every penny.
We took my son on the Polar Express at 18 months old and was amazed at just how much he enjoyed it at this age (although I think we secretly still enjoyed the magic of it all more). Santa was so attentive, the music was magic and the cookie and gift lit up his little face. Couldn't recommend enough, was such a magical experience for us all and the perfect way for us to start making traditions together.
This is an amazing experience for all ages. We went 2 years ago when our little girl was nearly 2 years old. She was gripped with what was going on from beginning to end. It was brilliant. All the people involved were fabulous and could tell they really enjoyed being there. The songs and stories were great, and it was really magical. I would recommend it to anyone!!!

Magical experience, fun for all the family. Really well organised, parking stewards everywhere. Staff and characters are friendly. Just like the film. Wearing PJ's, drinking hot chocolate and being visited by Santa, what more can you ask for. Lots of singing and dancing (in your seats). I would recommend it 100%.
Our little Christmas tradition in the weeks running up to Christmas. My boys love it so much. It is expensive but it’s just so magical. The staff are so friendly. Lots of people make the effort and go in their pyjamas.
From the moment we stepped on board, it felt like we were truly part of the story. The train, the music, the dancing chefs, the hot chocolate — everything was just like the movie and even better in real life.
The actors were amazing and really brought the characters to life, making us feel like we were inside the film. The decorations, the lights, the snow falling outside the windows — it was like stepping into a dream. Seeing the kids’ faces light up when Santa arrived was priceless, and we all left with that warm, festive feeling you can’t quite describe.
It was an unforgettable journey filled with joy, wonder, and Christmas spirit. If you ever get the chance to ride The Polar Express, do it — it truly feels like you’re living the magic.

Traveled down to Devon for this experience and it was so well worth it . Car parking was easy , it was a bit mucky as it was raining so a change of shoes is advisable. The area was decorated well to give that festive feeling , gift shops and food stalls , quite expensive so if you have a number of children expect a big bill ,

You can see the smoke in the distance , boarding the train is well organised , once on everything just gets festive , the actors give a good performance, your served hot chocolate and a cookie whilst they perform the hot chocolate song , the conductor did actually look like Tom hanks character , the chocolate drink wasn’t quit warm and the cookie a bit soggy thob, the highlight obviously Is the arrival of Father Christmas and fair play he put a lot off effort it . The gift of the bell is something to keep as a reminder , all in all a good experience

The best Christmas treat ever!!! What a day, from the moment we arrived and waiting to board the train throughout the whole day it was magical and amazing. The conductor, the singing waiters, Santa and the naughty elf everything was incredible, wonderful and just perfect. We loved it every single minute. A 7yr old, 25yr old and a 53yr old.
The Polar Express is by far the best thing I've ever spent money on. I've taken the family twice and we loved it.

We had a great time at the Polar Express. The way they tell the story, act/ dance up the isle and if you’re very lucky you may see Mr C. The lovely thought of the Christmas present/wish is wonderful. Also lovely hot chocolate and cookies. Really can’t wait to go back 🙌🏻🥹🎅
The most magical Christmas experience we have shared with the children. From start to finish, every detail had been considered and every member of the team made the whole experience really special. The children still talk about it - and I know they would love to go again. My grown-up daughter was just as moved as the children - especially when Santa gave her a bell!
Wow, this was fantastic, the kids loved it and it was very entertaining for the grownups too.
The experience was made by the staff who were all superb. The team in Coach C/D this morning were so enthusiastic and lovely and the singers in the marquee were great too - I hope they all feel appreciated.

A great night on the polar express at the South Devon Railway it was very enjoyable like a pantomime on wheels well done to the south Devon railway.
Blown away. That was a genuinely magical experience - the light in our daughter's face, the energy and passion of the actors... You're absolutely fantastic and there are no words sufficiently magnificent to capture the look in her eyes.

Absolutely brilliant. It's like a panto on a train. From parking to getting you back to your car, everything is extremely well planned and organised. The only thing that let's it down is the Polar Express Gift Shop. It's rubbish! Unless we caught it on a bad day. Top tip - watch the movie before you go (our kids did as kids, hubby and I have never seen it.). Everything before and on the train is linked to the movie and you will understand more of what's going on. We had to keep asking our daughter questions. Our granddaughter loved it and understood every reference. When you get off the coach you will be ushered into a marquee where a children's entertainer will try to keep you, aka your kids, occupied for about 15/20 minutes. There is no need to queue to get on to the platform. The entertainment is to try and stop people doing that and the gate to the platform doesn't open until the show is over. The train is just down the track out of view and does not come until everyone is through the gate. All in all, a great day and would do it again.
FYI, they serve hot chocolate and a large cookie on the train for premium ticket holders. I noticed they had bottles of squash and water under the seats, but if you have food allergies/preferences, maybe bring your own cookie.

Brought the story to life
We had a brilliant time on the Polar Express train! From start to finish the experience was magical and so well organised. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and they really brought the story to life. It was truly special to see the excitement and joy, especially for the children. A wonderful festive experience and a memory we’ll treasure. Highly recommend for families looking to create Christmas magic!

A truly magical experience from start to finish. So well organised , the experience was fantastic and made you feel the magic of Christmas. My 12 and 5 year old were taken in by the show and magic. The approach to the platform was the best and made me so teary. The cast were fantastic with the kids and adults and gave attention to detail. Highly recommend.
